Watershed Implementation Plan Updates and Local Project Highlights scheduled for October 2, 2013.
Watershed Implementation Plans (WIPs) are key elements to restore the Bay’s health, as they outline steps to achieve nutrient and sediment reductions. As the WIP is being implemented at the state and local levels, focus is often placed on existing capacity and financial concerns. This meeting will highlight positive progress made with WIP implementation by providing statewide updates from both Maryland and Delaware and showcasing successful local and regional project initiatives.
Join us to hear statewide and local examples of:

- Innovative Funding Sources
- Productive Partnerships
- Regional Approaches to the WIP
In addition to statewide updates from both Maryland and Delaware, local project examples include: Rain Gardens, Green Infrastructure and Stormwater, Wastewater Treatment, a Septic Loan Program and much more! Confirmed presenting organizations include: Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) representative, City of Cambridge, Town of Federalsburg, Sussex County Conservation District, Delaware Nature Society, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
