Whether you have the gift of gab, enjoy sharing knowledge about the Eastern Shore, were a former educator, enjoy fishing, hate dust, or love merchandising, we can use your help!
We’ve recently added “fishing” to our group tour options and could use someone to bait hooks and enjoy a few hours manning that station. This is a serious, yet entertaining position as most children participating have never fished before.
Tour Guides are always needed at the DDC! We provide tours for all ages and you’d be able to pick your preference.
The Discovery Museum Store has volunteer opportunities for cashiers, merchandisers, and people willing to dust or vacuum. Tours, summer traffic, and events keep things pretty busy and extra support in the store is always welcome.
Another opportunity to help would be during events or busy times. For example, standing at the touch tank would help visitors understand that the horseshoe crabs are “hands on” and do not sting.
